This is a crash demonstration on the usefulness of cooking in a Scotch Bowl made of Black Iron. Scotch Bowls are a cross between a Dutch Oven and a Wok (in my opinion). They haven't been around for nearly a half a century, so finding out can be a bit difficult. However, if you find a Scotch Bowl once used more for Porridge, Beans or a large family gruel over a heated hearth, fire place or hung by the bail over whatever means to cook.
