I'm not sure if the end of the world will happen...but just in case, here is how you can live off the land! -Buy 6 months to 1 year worth of stored/packaged food. (meals or bulk items such as rice, grains, sugar, flour, etc.) Hit up Costco or Sam's club, etc. Or order the bucket foods from Cabelas or other outfitters. -Cast Iron water/well pump -Wood Stove/Fireplace -Stock up on propane and propane stove/burners (eventually switch to wood stoves) -Cast Iron cookware for the wood stove (use the ashes for soap, dusting chickens, etc.) -Grow a large garden and preserve the food (canning, pickling, smoking) -Solar generator -Chickens/Goats -Security (reusable weapons and some guns) -Community (more likely to survive with a community) -Grow the feed/grains for animals (1 acre of corn will feed a cow, and 2-3 other large animals for a year) -Plant or have indoors, fruit/nut trees -Grow lots of plants indoors if you live in a cold climate, to eat throughout the year
